For more than 75 years, First U.S. has been serving Government employees in Northern California with the products and services they need to succeed. We even offer specialized programs, like our Government Employee Assistance Program – which includes initiatives like our Payroll Assistance Program, and our Government Furlough Loans.

On February 27th, 2013 First U.S. activated Government Furlough Loans because of the threat of sequestration that could affect payroll for our valued Government employee members.

  • Government Furlough Loans are short-term, 0% APR loans to offset the difference between regular payroll and any reduced pay that may result from temporary government furloughs.
  • Government Furlough Loans require the recurring deposit of your regular Government payroll. So make sure you're eligible when the time comes – sign up for Direct Deposit of your Government payroll to your First U.S. Checking Account today.
  • Loan terms up to 15 months, or choose "no payments for 90 days" followed by a 12-month repayment term.

NEW GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE MEMBERS you may become eligible for our Government Furlough Loan program with a First U.S. checking account and direct deposit of your Government payroll.
